Victim's Name Released in Hot Springs Homicide

Update: Hot Springs Police say a dead woman found in her apartment on Higdon Ferry Road is now being investigated as a homicide.

Police identified the woman as 22-year-old Katie M. Lavender. Her body has been sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy.




HOT SPRINGS, AR - Hot Springs Police say a dead woman found in a home on Higdon Ferry Road is being investigated as a possible homicide.

Police say a woman in her early 20's was found around 7pm Tuesday. The Garland County Coroner pronounced her dead at the scene.

Police did not release the woman's name or the suspected manner of death.
