Burton Named LRSD Interim Superintendent

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Marvin Burton, the Little Rock School District Associate Superintendent, has been selected to replace Dr. Morris Holmes.

Holmes' resignation goes into effect on Friday, March 22nd. Burton will serve as the interim superintendent until Dr. Dexter Suggs takes over sometime this summer. Burton, along with Dennis Glasgow and Kelsey Bailey, will form a team that will manage the day-to-day operations of LRSD, with guidance from Suggs.

Burton has been with the school district since 1989, working as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal.
