That's according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
The AHTD says that this morning a tractor-trailer overturned and spilled grain onto the interstate.
While the grain has been removed, additional clean-up will be necessary along the shoulder and nearby slope.
The work will require both westbound lanes of Interstate 40 to be closed between the 203 and 202 mile markers, near Biscoe.
The closure will be in effect between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
Traffic will be detoured at Exit 202 at Biscoe, where travelers will be routed to U.S. Highway 70.
Drivers are urged to be extra careful when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
