WASHINGTON COUNTY, AR -- Deputies have arrested a man they say is responsible for 10 burglaries in rural Washington County.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, between November 2012 and January 2013, they received numerous burglary reports from all over the county in which the suspect had taken a pillow case from the home and used it to steal jewelry.

After a three-month investigation, detectives uncovered leads that resulted in the arrest of 23-year-old Walter Selby of West Fork.

Selby was arrested Sunday and is in Washington County Jail facing 10 counts of felony residential burglary.

Police say he confessed to breaking into 10 homes in Washington County.

Detectives also recovered some stolen property and were able to identify other property that had been sold and pawned.

The investigation is ongoing and detectives say more arrests are expected.
