PINE BLUFF, AR - The Pine Bluff School District is closing one of its elementary campuses.

Pine Bluff School Board members voted unanimously Tuesday night to close Greenville Elementary School.

The school, built in the 1950's, will close at the end of the school year.

School administrators proposed the closure because of low enrollment and the condition of the building itself.

Board President Piccola Washington said the students will be sent to three of four of the district's K-5 schools.

Neighbors fear the closure will bring down their community.
