LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The man killed in the Park Plaza Mall shooting has been laid to rest.

Funeral services for Christian Hayes were held at Reed Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church Tuesday morning.

The 25-year-old was working at Sbarro restaurant when police say he was shot by two men trying to commit robbery.

Another person, Jashonta Thomas, was also injured in the shooting.

Police arrested Tristan Bryant and Deonte Edison in connection with the crime, and both have been charged with capital murder.

Comments

Up until earlier this year, I worked nearby Park Plaza. I went to Sbarro fairly often and always looked forward to joking around with Christian specifically. I had no idea until today that he was murdered. I just wanted to say that he always seemed like such a positive and cool person. I am very saddened by this, such a tragic loss. Prayers for his family and friends. RIP, buddy.
