Update: 3-Year-Old Dies Two Days after Sherwood Hit-and-Run

Update (March 13):
The Sherwood Police Department says the 3-year-old child hospitalized since a hit-and-run Monday night has died at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

Jaylen Diggs had been in critical condition since the incident.

SHERWOOD, AR - A hit-and-run accident at an apartment complex in Sherwood has left a 3-year-old in critical condition, according to Sherwood Police.

Police say the accident happened around 6:51 p.m. at the Park Crest Apartment Complex, which is located on Manson Road. The suspect vehicle is red, possibly a SUV or pickup truck. After the accident the child was transported to Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident or with information about the suspect vehicle to call them at (501) 835-1425.
