SPRINGDALE, Ark. -- Springdale Police are investigating a shooting incident they say took place in a home with small children inside.

Police responded to a report of a person possibly shot in the leg on Purple Martin Drive.

The victim told police he was attacked while in his car at the intersection of Dodd and Scottsdale Avenue, and that he drove to a friend's house to get a ride to the hospital.

When officers went to the victim's home, a woman there said the incident happened at the home and that there were small children inside at the time.

They also found evidence suggesting more than one gunshot had been fired.

So far, no arrests have been made.
