BYRANT, AR - Three buses caught fire Tuesday morning in the Bryant School District bus lot at the high school.

A spokesperson for the district says one of the buses is a total loss, and the other two were badly damaged, with windows blown out and tires melted to the ground.

A neighbor saw the buses on fire around 3am and called the fire department. The school district says arson is not suspected, but the fire officials are currently doing a full investigation into the cause of the fire.

The school district lauded the efforts of their transportation personnel for making the necessary changes to get all the children to and from school despite the three buses being out of service.

The cost of fire and when the buses will be replaced is unknown. The school district did say one of the buses involved was new.
