LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Senate passed a bill on Tuesday that would ban non-traditional body art and skin implants.

The bill's sponsor, Senator Missy Irvin of Mountain View, wants to limit body art procedures, particularly scarification and dermal implants.

By a 26-4 vote, the Senate moved to outlaw scarification, a procedure involving the scarring of the skin using heat to form a tattoo without ink, and implants that place ornaments under the skin.

The bill now goes to the House.

I thought we Conservatives were for small government and for staying out of personal business. Body art is a means for a person to express themselves, making it free speech covered by the 1ST Amendment. Am I wrong? We have boith houses and soon the Capitol Building too, don't do like Washington Republicans and start acting like Democrats.

It is time that we take a stand and let these elected "elite" know that they are ELECTED and this will not be forgotten, and this bill is an affront to human rights and freedom of expression.

This is unconstitutional....slowly the government is taking away our freedom of expression. It is my body and I will do what I please with it, what is the government gonna do if I do get an implant? Spank me and take away my birthday!!!

So big sister is now telling you more and more what you can and can not do to your own body. This better not pass or the next thing will be even more rights stomping.
