Power Knocked out to Hundreds in Jackson County

Power has been knocked out to hundreds in Jackson County as windy weather moves across the state.

The Entergy Arkansas outages website shows nearly 1,300 are without electricity in the Tuckerman and Swifton areas as of 10 o'clock.

A few hundred outages are also reported in several other counties.

The National Weather Service in Little Rock warned on its Facebook page this morning that it was going to be a windy day across the state with a wind advisory in place from 6AM to 6PM.

The NWS says winds sustained at 20-25 miles per hour will be likely with gusts up to 40 miles per hour in some places. These winds will create rough chop on bodies of water, create problems with vehicles on elevated surfaces and create difficulties for high profile vehicles such as 18-wheelers.
