Garland Co. Authorities Looking for Bank Robbery Suspect

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- At approximately 5:26 Friday evening, the Garland County Sheriff's Department received a call of an armed robbery at the Hot Springs Bank and Trust at on Highway 7 North in the north area of Garland County.

The suspect, who is described as a white male standing 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, wearing a dark mask, blue hoodie and blue jeans, was witnessed leaving the scene in a Blue 2008 Chevy Cobalt with Arkansas License Plate 437ORE, heading North bound on Highway 7.

This vehicle was reported stolen to GCSO on Thursday.

The suspect reportedly brandished a dark-colored handgun, but no shots were fired and no one was injured during the robbery.

It is unknown at this point what the suspect may have gotten away with.
