Garland Co. to Host Hunger Action Summit

GARLAND CO., Ark. -- More than 16,000 people in Garland County are hungry, but have trouble getting food.
Now, community leaders are launching a Hunger Action Summit to help, starting on Tuesday.
During the summit, participants will get a chance to experience poverty first-hand through an hour-long simulation workshop.
They'll also discuss how to help feed more than 5,000 hungry Garland County children.
The Hunger Action Summit will be held at the First United Methodist church from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
