Small Earthquake Rattles Portions of Northeast Arkansas

An earthquake rattled portions of northeast Arkansas Saturday afternoon.

The United States Geological Survey reports the quake registered a magnitude 3.9 and was centered just south of Trumann, Arkansas.  The location is roughly 15 miles southeast of Jonesboro.

The earthquake occurred shortly after 4 p.m.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The marks the seventh earthquake in Arkansas over the last week.

A small 2.1 magnitude earthquake occurred around noon Saturday near Clinton.  Last night, a 1.9 magnitude earthquake registered near Greers Ferry.
