On a cold, rainy Thursday morning, Curtis Coleman, the retired President and CEO of Safe Foods Corporation, said he has plans to make the state prosperous.

Among family, friends, and supporters, Coleman told the crowd it's time for Arkansas to come from behind in job creation.  He said unnecessary regulations stop new businesses from coming to the state, and the existing businesses are threatening to leave because of high taxes.

"One of my first things is to appoint a commission of businessmen and women from all over the state to review the last ten years that's been passed in Arkansas and flag every one of them that makes it difficult for Arkansas businesses to function profitably. It doesn't mean we'll get rid of all of them, but we'll take a look at them and evaluate them," Coleman said.

Coleman said since he has experience as a businessman, he knows how to run a business successfully.
