State Police Have New Leads in I-40 Murder, Seeking New Info

The Arkansas State Police has new information in the investigation of a murder that occurred earlier this month in Conway along Interstate 40.
Jose Martinez, 31, of Conway, the driver of a black Nissan Frontier pickup, was shot Sunday morning, Feb. 10 as he approached the I-40 westbound exit onto Dave Ward Drive. Martinez was found in the pickup and taken to a Conway hospital, where he later died.
Special Agents assigned to the State Police Criminal Investigation Division now suspect a white, four-door Nissan passenger car may have been in the area where Martinez was killed.
Agents are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen the white Nissan as early as 4:45 a.m. in the vicinity of I-40 at Morgan or along the westbound lanes into Conway at late at 5:15 a.m.
