In Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing, an as-yet unidentified player at Hilltop Travel Center at 8265 Highway 282 in Alma bought a $1 ticket that now is worth $1,000,000. Seven days ago, a Van Buren player won $10,000 playing Mega Millions.
The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center in Little Rock awaits the arrival of the winner. The ticket matched five white ball numbers from Tuesday night's drawing but not the Mega Millions number, resulting in a $250,000 win. The player wisely added the $1 Megaplier option, increasing the prize to $1,000,000.
A Maryland player chose all six correct numbers, winning the $26 Million Mega Millions jackpot. The second largest prize of the night was the one in Arkansas, in Alma. There also were five winners at the $250,000 level. The Mega Millions jackpot will reset to $12 Million. For a chance to win Wednesday, play Powerball for a $70 Million jackpot, or try for a $95,000 prize with the Arkansas-only $1 Natural State Jackpot, which has draws every night except Sunday.
