New Chipotle Approved for Midtown Little Rock

By: Brittney Johnson
Updated: February 19, 2013
The Little Rock board of directors voted in favor of allowing construction of a new Chipotle restaurant in Midtown Tuesday night.

The new 2,200 square foot restaurant will be located next door to the new McDonald's at Markham and University. It will replace the Baker building that currently occupies that spot. The entrance will face south off of University.

Some directors had expressed concern that the new restaurant would clog up traffic in what is already a busy Little Rock intersection, but only one board member voted against the proposal.
