Former Alexander Police Officer Pleads Not Guilty to Manslaughter

The Alexander police officer accused of shooting a man during an arrest has pleaded not guilty to a manslaughter charge.

An attorney for Nancy Cummings appeared on her behalf in court Tuesday afternoon.
   
Cummings says her gun accidentally went off as she searched Carleton Wallace, who was shot and killed.
   
The former officer is due back in court in April.
