Update: Monticello Outlines Rules for New Trash Pick-up, Issues Apology

The City of Monticello has issued an apology for inconveniences caused in its efforts to convert to a new trash pick-up system.
The city is converting from bag pick-up to cart pick-up and converting from a twice-a-week pick-up service to a once-a-week pick-up service.

Trash collection goes high tech in Monticello today with the kickoff of a new automated system.
The new city trash truck arrived several weeks ago and had been used for training in preparation for going into service.
The city's four wards will each have its own pickup day.
