Union Co. Man Sentenced for Killing Girlfriend

A Union County jury found 43-year-old Richard Hart guilty of killing his 28-year-old girlfriend Amanda Fory last June.

Hart was originally charged with first-degree murder, but the jury convicted him on a lesser charge of manslaughter.

The jury also found Hart guilty on two other charges, including manslaughter in the presence of a child.

Hart was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
