Joseph Garland Torian, 47, is accused of leaving his 13-month-old son in his crib Friday night, then taking the 40-minute drive so he could go drinking, police say.
The child's mother called Conway Police from work saying she suspected her young son was home alone. She reported that her boyfriend sent her a picture of the child sleeping in his bed in Conway around 9:30 Friday night. A couple of hours later she tracked Torian's iPad, which indicated it was in the River Market in Downtown Little Rock, according to police.
When she couldn't contact Torian, the frantic mom called Conway Police and her parents. Once at the home on Highland Drive, officers entered the house and found the baby boy crying in his crib. His grandparents showed up to comfort him.
Meanwhile, Little Rock Police found Torian in a bar and arrested him.
According to CPD's responding detective, during questioning, Torian admitted to leaving his son alone before to go to a bar, when the child was seven months old.
