The Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) is looking for a man who robbed a Dollar General store on the city's west side at gunpoint.

It happened Wednesday night just before 9:30 on Satterfield Drive, off North Rodney Parham Road.

Police describe the suspect as a black man, 50 to 55 years old, 5'8" tall, who was wearing all black clothing and white shoes.

Two workers told police they had just closed the business, set the alarm, and were walking to their cars in the parking lot when the suspect walked up to them armed with a silver revolver.

He ordered them back inside, telling them "don't be a hero," according to the incident report.

Police say the suspect made the workers turn off the store alarm and get face down on the floor before ordering one of them to open the safe, which had a 10-minute delay. Once the safe opened, the suspect took the money and told the workers to count to 100. When the man left, the workers called police.
