Communications giant AT&T says its U-Verse service is out, affecting roughly 70,000 customers in the southeast and southwest.

"I'm angry. Why don't they have a back up plan for when things like this happen?" asks Paige Majors, of Little Rock.

Majors says she's been without television, Internet, and phone service for two days.
She's not alone.

Little Rock resident Leslie Purdy-Hoyt told KARK she's frustrated trying to get clear answers from AT&T.

"The call center was clueless and rude and can't tell me what's wrong, why I'm without service, or how long it will be," she said in an email statement

"How they are allowed to continue to get away with such terrible customer service, I'll never know," she wrote.

One source says the outages are affecting customers in 13 states.

In an email statement, AT&T said "customers in some of our markets are experiencing issues with U-verse service.  This issue currently affects less than 1 percent of our U-verse subscribers, but that is too many and we are working hard to fix this. We are making progress in resolving the issue which is related to a server complex, and are working to determine when service will be completely restored. We apologize for this inconvenience."

Majors says the company is going to credit her account but she is considering signing up with another service provider.
