Little Rock police are searching for a pair of robbers who held up the McDonald's location on Broadway using an AK-47 rifle.

According to police, the robbers forced employees into the restaurant freezer shortly before midnight on Sunday. The two men then ordered the manager to empty the safe, and took off with the cash.

"Anytime you have a weapon, it's intimidating. When you know it's an assault rifle, it's even more so intimidating," said Sgt. Cassandra Davis.

None of the employees were hurt during the robbery, according to police.

The suspects are described as two men, one wearing a white hoodie and black leather jacket, the other with an orange jacket and white hat.

The getaway car is described as a purple PT Cruiser.

Comments

Purple PT cruiser as a getaway car? Okay, that takes away all intimidation.
