A Fort Smith hotel manager and employee were arrested for promoting prostitution following a six-month investigation.

The Street Crimes Unit arrested 42-year-old manager John Lee Rohlin and 28-year-old Jonathan Richard Bean for promoting prostitution third-degree on Wednesday.

Police say on June 28, the Street Crimes Unit was informed that the Season's Inn, or Fifth Season's Inn, located at 2219 South Waldron Road, was regularly renting rooms out for less than 24 hours at a time to accommodate men and women engaging in prostitution.

The informant had reported that they had met "clients" at the Season's Inn and purchased rooms for 1-2 hours at a time, a business practice that violates city and state laws.

Rohlin and Bean were booked and released on a $1,500 bond.
