The military post announced on Wednesday that its workforce is being reduced by more than 350.
Starting next month, 184 contractor employees and 183 term employees will be let go.
Colonel Doyle Lassitter says the RRAD increased its workforce in 2004 because of the country's involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Now that the U.S. is bringing home its military, Col. Lassiter says RRAD operations will be cut back.
"We are working closely with the states of Texas and Arkansas to ensure that these individuals are completely informed of what's available to them for assistance on gaining other employment," he says.
Some of those being let go have been with RRAD for as long as eight years.
Each individual will be notified personally over the next few days. The exact number of affected Arkansans is not yet known.
