Bentonville Teen Kicks Off Blanket Drive

At just 14-years-old, one Bentonville teen is bringing warmth to those in need.

It all started when Morgan Timbs saw teddy bear drives for Sandy Hook Victims.

It inspired her to help folks right here in the Natural State.

She's started a blanket drive to benefit a Children's Home run by Methodist Family Health.

The donations will be made in honor of Sandy Hook Elementary shooting victims. They need NEW blankets of all sizes.

"I think that kids my age or high school kids, if they really get involved, then it sets an example for young kids that are 8th or 7th graders. It sets an example for pretty much everyone, maybe even adults," Morgan says.

The drive runs through January 31st and there are donation dropoff locations all over Bentonville, including:
  • First United Methodist Church Bentonville
  • Simmons Suites (3001 NE 11th St.)
  • Bentonville High School (Mr Horton's Room)
  • Batter Up in Bentonville (927 NW 12th St.)
  • Walmart Home Office C/O Dayna Shepherd
On her Facebook page, Morgan links to a video (click here) she says explains why she wants to collect the blankets.
