The Izard County Sheriff's Department has taken two people into custody after a man died from an apparent gunshot wound.

According to Izard County Sheriff's officials, deputies responded to a shooting call around 10:00 Thursday night on Luka Road off Highway 5 north of Calico Rock, where they found 30-year-old Josh Loosey in a wooded area on property believed to be owned by his family.

Josh Loosey was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies have taken Josh's uncle, 49-year-old Harvey Loosey and 43-year-old Patricia Sutterfield, believed to be Harvey's girlfriend, into custody, as Sheriff Tate Lawrence says an apparent long-running family dispute led to Josh's death.

Loosey and Sutterfield remain in the Izard County Detention facility on an investigative hold.

The Sheriff's Department and Arkansas State Police continue to investigate Josh Loosey's death.
