24-Year-Old Rison Man Dies in 1-Vehicle Accident

A Rison man is dead after a one-vehicle accident early Friday morning.

According to the Pine Bluff Police Department, 24-year-old Joshua Womack was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 79 when he left the road trying to negotiate a curve in front of Sissy's Log Cabin and struck a tree.

Womack was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.

Pine Bluff Police are still investigating the accident.

According to Arkansas State Police, Womack was not wearing a seat belt.
