aids2007-11-28-1196286891.jpgWith more than 2,500 Arkansans living with AIDS, a new awareness campaign comes at the perfect time.

It coincides with the weeklong activities of World AIDS Day.

Leaders in the local fight against HIV and AIDS gathered in Little Rock on Wednesday morning to announce new billboards that encourage HIV testing.

Wynona Bryant-Williams, Executive Director with the Arkansas Minority Health Commission had this to say; "We embrace the effort to help eradicate, if not eliminate, if that's possible, by making people aware of how changing one's behavior is the best defense in addressing this disease."

Those billboards will be placed in strategic locations in Little Rock and Pine Bluff during the months of December, January and February.
