Deputies Say Man Stole Life-Saving Generator

A lot of people have generators in case of emergency, but one Saline County family sometimes uses theirs to keep their infant son alive through dialysis.
Last week, though, that generator was stolen.
Saline County deputies say Donald Higgins took the generator, among other items.
They discovered it, only after he drove himself to the sheriff's office for an unrelated matter and deputies found the stolen goods inside the car he'd driven, which was also reportedly stolen.
Higgins now faces a number of charges.
