The winter weather has been rough on the roadways. Nearly a dozen potholes have popped up on Cantrell Road near the Dillard's headquarters in Little Rock.

Some drivers are worried about damage to car tires and suspensions.

"They were terrible for a small car likes this it was very noticeable," said driver Leonard Siegel. "These are 13 inch rims and so it feels like my car just sinks into the pavement."

Icy conditions can be particularly problematic. When water freezes in cracks, it causes pavement to expand and pop out. Rock salt used for treating the ice patches can also corrode the asphalt.

To avoid damage to your vehicle, slow down when driving through pothole prone areas.
