A new strain of the common cold has health officials sending out a warning this morning. This new strain is responsible for ten deaths, two of which were infants, and dozens of people being hospitalized. The bug, called Adenovirus 14, has been spreading since May of 2006. The CDC says, as with most viruses, the illness is severe for the very young, very old, and anyone with compromised immune systems. Of course, one of the best ways to prevent the spread-- hand washing.
