Update, 5:00 a.m. Thursday
According to the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department, most roads north of Arkadelphia are considered icy this morning.

The agency reports you'll find ice patches on most major roadways, so you need to exercise caution while you're out.

Here's a look at the current conditions map below. The roadways highlighted in red are considered iced over. The roads in purple have ice patches. Roads outlined in green have some slush.

Original Story:
Roads across Central Arkansas are being labeled dangerous if not treacherous after an overnight freeze.

Areas that experienced improvement Wednesday afternoon due to melting refroze overnight as temperatures dropped below freezing.

Temperatures dropped into the mid teens to mid 20s creating areas of black ice where roads are no longer snow covered.

Travel is strongly discouraged due to the hazardous road conditions.
