Historic Storm Dumps 10 Inches of Snow in Little Rock

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: December 26, 2012
The system that produced watches, warnings, and blizzard-like conditions across the Natural State is now long gone.  What remains:  a whole bunch of snow causing problems and chaos on area roadways.

According to the National Weather Service, both Adams Field and Clinton National received 10.3 inches of snow through this morning.

One KARK viewer in Perry reported 14 inches in her backyard.  Many places experience amount over a foot while other areas like portions of Conway received closer to 6 inches.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 34 degrees today.  While that will help melt some of the snow, the white stuff should remain around for a little while longer.

The large amounts of snow have put pressure on powerlines and power poles.  As of 7 a.m. Wednesday, roughly 190,000 Entergy customers were in the dark.
