Increasing Chances for a White Christmas in Arkansas

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: December 22, 2012
A system moving through Arkansas early Christmas Day could bring snow to the Natural State.

Two models are indicating the possibility of snow on Tuesday....not just a little snow but quite a bit!

"Two consecutive runs of the GFS now suggesting more than just a little snow beginning around Noon on Christmas Day," said Chief Meteorologist Keith Monahan. "It's still several days out but stay tuned."

This far out, it's possible the track and timing of the system could change. However, you might start making plans for the possibility of digging out of some snow!

"Both models clearly show a very similar area of snow across central Arkansas on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning," added Meteorologist Greg Dee. "Not only are they showing snow, but heavy snow."
