A task force on substance abuse treatment in Arkansas is calling for increased funding across the board.

In its report, the task force cites other studies that show only six percent of Arkansans' who need help for addiction actually get treatment. Another study in the report states the overall costs to the Natural state when it comes to dealing with substance abuse are a staggering $888 million.

The Arkansas Legislative Task Force on Substance Abuse Treatment Services completed its final report and recommendations on Dec. 10.
