Arkansas Joins Other States to Better Prepare Teachers

Dozens of states are working together to better prepare teachers. Arkansas is one of them.

A new report outlines several ways that states can improve teacher preparation.

It spells out three areas: licensing policies, program accreditation and effective data use.

Arkansas Department of Education Commissioner, Dr. Tom Kimbrell, says higher expectations for students mean higher expectations for our teachers and principals.
