Fayetteville Glee Club Strikes a Chord with AR Philharmonic Orchestra

The Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra got a little help ringing in the Christmas Season on Sunday in Bentonville.

The McNair Middle School (Fayetteville) Glee Club took the stage in "Christmas with the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra" at the Arend Arts Center.

The group also sang alongside "America's Tenor" Steve Amerson and Broadway sensation Laurie Gayle Stephenson.

Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra President Mildred Taylor believes the kids are a reflection of the orchestra's mission.

"One of the things we are passionate about is education and how it relates to music. So this is a way for us to showcase some students," she says.

2012 marks the second year the club has been a part of the APO's concert series, and the kids will also be performing on several local stages at assisted living centers and the Northwest Arkansas Mall.
