De Queen City Parks Director Fired, Agency under Investigation

The De Queen City Parks Director has been fired and the agency is under investigation.
That's according to the Sevier County Prosecutor's Office, which says the Arkansas State Police and local authorities are working together on the case.
Mayor Billy Ray McKelvy reportedly fired Karen Atkins this week, but he's not saying why. According an October post on the De Queen Parks Sports Programs Facebook page, Atkins had held the job for 18 years.
The prosecutor says part of the investigation concerns fees charged by the De Queen Parks Department for CPR classes.
