Police say a narcotics officer tried to stop 42-year-old Willie D. Aikens based on information received about what the report calls a "controlled delivery of 24 pounds of marijuana."
Aikens then drove away and tried to hit a DEA officer, according to the arrest report before leading police on a chase through Little Rock, refusing to stop even after his tires were punctured by stop-spikes.
When officers were able to apprehend Aikens, they seized 24 pounds of marijuana.
Aikens now faces aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit capital murder, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and tampering with physical evidence, all felonies.
He was also charged with fleeing, reckless driving and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
Court records indicate that Aikens has bonded out of the Pulaski County Jail.
