It happened Monday night shortly before 10 o'clock at the Shell Station in the 16000 block of Chenal Parkway.
The victim, a 32-year-old Little Rock man, called police from his home after the incident.
He told officers that while he was at the gas station two of three suspects walked up and demanded his wallet. He refused to give the thieves his property and tried to fight them off, according to the police report.
While the two suspects and the victim were fighting, a third suspect armed with a handgun walked up and the victim then surrendered his wallet.
The victim told police that when it happened, other people came out of the gas station to see what was going on. However, police say no one called for help.
The victim suffered two black eyes but refused medical attention.
The police report describes the suspects as all wearing black masks, black pants and black shirts. They were all described as being about 5'9" and 170 pounds. Two of them were black and one was white, the police report noted.
