A Harrison woman is back behind bars on drug charges after showing up late to her trial.

According to the Boone County Sheriff's Office, 37-year-old Charla Bright returned 45 minutes to her trial following a lunch break, and was then ordered to submit a urine sample as she is on probation for previous felony convictions.

While she was providing the urine sample, a probation/parole officer found several items used to ingest methamphetamine in Bright's purse, according to BCSO.

She was arrested immediately and taken to the Boone County Jail where she was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

She remains in jail on a $20,000 cash bond.
