The National Weather Service (NWS) in Little Rock says one person suffered a minor injury when high winds blew the roof off three mobile homes and a duplex near Viola.
It happened shortly before one o'clock.
NWS meteorologist John Robinson traveled to the area today to survey the damage and took the photos attached to this story (click the video box).
Robinson says the duplex sat on a hilltop and it looked as though a gust of wind got underneath the roof overhang and just lifted it off.
The remains of the roof were scattered across a field and into a tree.
At a mobile home next door to the duplex, the porch roof collapsed and one window was broken.
The NWS storm report noted damage to three barns in the area and four other outbuildings.
Three families were displaced but were staying with family members.
