Web Extra: Arkansas Families Expected to Spend $545 on Christmas Gifts

When it comes to holiday shopping, people are feeling better about parting with their cash, according to a survey.

The southern region of the US, including Arkansas, will spend an estimated $545 on gifts, while the Midwest will spend $520, the Northeast will spend nearly $650 and the West is expected to spend just under $500.

The average American family is set to spend about $550 for gifts.
