Boys and Girls Club Feeds Kids With Arkansas Foodbank

Kids line up early at the Dalton Whetstone Boys and Girls Club in Little Rock, fresh out of school and hungry enough to eat a horse.

Program Coordinator Gary Casey dished out the snacks Thursday, some honey grahams and fruit cups straight from the Arkansas Foodbank.

"It really is a blessing just to have the Arkansas Foodbank," Casey said.

Sikia Brown says programs like Kids Cafe helps them feed thousands of kids every day, but there's a lot more who go hungry.

Casey says the club was a different place before they partnered with the foodbank.

"I've had kids that were angry, and when I got to the bottom of it they were just hungry," Casey said.
