The Arkansas Times and other online columns are raising questions over Santa's stop for the Secretary of State's Capitol Christmas Celebration.

In September, Robert Newcomb (pictured), who had been known to portray Santa for the office, was told his volunteer services were no longer needed because an office employee wanted to play the part.

However, it appears that another Santa was brought in and paid $400 to do the job.

KARK 4 reached out to the Secretary of State's office for an explanation, but are waiting to hear back from them.
