ADH Offers 1935-1961 Death Certificates Online

If you're trying to piece together your family's history, the state of Arkansas is lending a helping a hand.

No more trekking up to the health department to request death certificates in person. You can now search for death certificates in an online database on the department's website if your relative died between 1935 and 1961.

The new tool could be a major convenience for genealogists and history buffs.

"Pulling out card catalogs, I've never had to do that, I've done everything online. I've been able to trace my family all the way back to France where they came from in the 1400s, it's amazing what you can do online," said Health Department Spokesperson Ed Barham.
