In North Little Rock Saturday afternoon, a semi hauling potentially explosive gas caught fire.

East and west bound lanes of I-40 were shut down for about thirty minutes around 1pm.

The semi was carrying 10,000 gallons of refrigerated methane .

The driver says flames came up from the engine.

One business had to be evacuated.

The cab burned, but a North Little Rock fire crew were able to keep the flames from spreading to the tanker.

The interstate has since re-opened.
